RELEASING OF MY ALBUM
RE-CONNECTING OF MY COMMUNITIES
REJOICING OF MY CALL
I rejoice. Not just because I’ve completed a project, but because in the process God showed himself to be ‘I AM’ in a fresh way. And though the CD is available, there’s still work to be done. The intent is for it to bless as many people as possible which means I’m not through. That’s still ahead…but in the meantime…I WANT TO CELEBRATE!! And how do I plan on doing that?
My vision, my plan, my prayer: a celebratory event to be held June 4th from 1-5pm @ The Den – 656 Marshall (old Hatiloo Theatre). The cd ‘GREAT LOVE, GREAT LIFE’ can be purchased and I will have friends from my musical and community experiences to be my guest. Each hour I will perform songs from my project and talk/fellowship with friends. The stage will be shared with those I’ve invited and maybe others.
Examples 1:00-2:00..open mic
2:00-3:15 Church/school/work (past music experiences)
3:15-4:15 Live music –
4:15-4:30 Theatre (recent music experiences)
4:30-5:00 Finale (family)
Another part of my community is the small business. There will be creative business owners and food vendors offering their work and services.
I’ve been told this event should be all about me. But that’s only half true.
It’s about how God ordered my life to be shared with so many wonderful, talented people in varied times and places. I learned and grew SO MUCH and for that I’m grateful. It’s about the many people who helped and encouraged in the production of this music. They should be known and shown. That makes it impossible to celebrate without being inclusive. Can’t stay but a minute; 30 minutes; 1 or 2 hours? That’s okay….it’s even part of the plan. Just to see you and know you support me and what I’m offering…. that’s going to bless me. And when I’m bless, I pass it on.
So please come. Dress comfortably. Shop, fellowship, share talents or stories, listen to great music, walk and experience the Edge District, drive/walk to Riverside Dr to view the mighthy Mississippi, whatever your heart desires… to make it a blessed Sunday with friends and family.
Expect full details later and I hope to see you one way or another soon.
Until then…be blessed…and a blessing!
